Committees
The following committees keep the HCIC moving forward into the new millennium by organizing the multitude of HCIC functions, expanding the benefits offered to HCIC members, and working tirelessly to fulfill the HCIC’s mission. Education & Forum Committee
The Education Committee plans educational events open to HCIC membership, risk management, and risk financing professionals, including the HCIC Educational Forums. The committee also ensures that HCIC programs qualify as continuing education credits for certain professional designations or insurance licensing requirements.

Legislative Committee
Informs the HCIC Executive Committee and Board of key Federal and State of Hawaii legislation and other regulatory matters affecting captives and Hawaii as a captive insurance domicile.
Co-chairs: Matt Takamine and Gerald Yoshida
Marketing Committee
Promotes Hawaii as a captive domicile and understanding of the captive concept throughout the Pacific Rim. The Committee acts as HCIC’s media liaison, promoting Hawaii through the production of marketing materials and organizing Hawaii’s presence at RIMS and other industry-related seminars in the mainland US and in Asia.

Membership Committee
Continuously seeks to enhance benefits provided to HCIC’s members, such as the popular HCIC “Aloha Card.” The Committee also develops HCIC’s membership categories and dues structure and organizes annual membership drives to attract new HCIC members.

Website Committee
Responsible for updating and maintaining the Hawaii Captive Insurance Council website to provide the most current and relevant information regarding Hawaii captives.
