40th Anniversary Celebration & Homeshow

The Hawaii Captive Insurance Council’s 40th anniversary celebration began on April 9 with a special Anniversary Reception at Bishop Museum, bringing together industry leaders, stakeholders, and distinguished guests to honor this important milestone. The evening recognized Hawaii’s legacy as a premier captive insurance domicile, with special guests including Governor Josh Green, along with key State of Hawaii officials and legislators whose continued support has been instrumental to the industry’s growth and success.

Building on that momentum, the Hawaii Homeshow on April 10 provided a fitting and energizing continuation of the celebration, drawing more than 70 participants from across the industry. Captive owner panelists shared thoughtful perspectives on the advantages of operating in the Hawaii domicile—highlighting its responsive regulatory environment, depth of expertise, and collaborative community. The “OG” panel offered a compelling look back, delivering both inspiration and insight into the vision, leadership, and pivotal moments that shaped Hawaii’s captive industry into what it is today.

Together, these events reflected not only how far Hawaii has come over the past four decades, but also the strong foundation and shared commitment that will guide its future.
