Hawaii Captive Insurance Council Japan Seminar 2018

On May 9, 2018, HCIC hosted its first-ever Japanese Captive Owners’ Summit in Tokyo, Japan.  The event was held at the prestigious Tokyo Station Hotel and was attended by nearly 70 Japanese captive owners and their guests.  The program featured presentations by David Beyer (Director of Risk Management – Alaska Air Group; General Manager & Secretary – ASA Assurance, Inc.) and Scot Sterenberg (Head of Office – Marsh Management Services Inc.), which focused, among other things, on the evolution of ASA Assurance, Inc. (Alaska Airlines’ Hawaii-domiciled captive) and ways to expand and grow your captive.
